Dr.Hermann Ludwig Maas
Hermann Maas was born on August 5, 1877 in the province of Gegenbach, Germany. As a very religious follower of Christ, he studied theology in college, and continued by working as a christian pastor. Soon, he was also affected by the terrible actions of Hitler. So later on, Maas began helping Jews escape persecution. He helped obtain the release of some prisoners from the Gurs concentration camp and provided them with emigration papers and money. He found foster homes for young people in England. He arranged for emigrations to Palestine. He found jobs for adults, and produced legal visas, work permits, and transportation. His influence spread beyond just where he was living.
